Presenting @ ESF Renaissance College 2024

On Wednesday the 7th of February 2024, one of our teachers, Mr Jackson, was honored to be invited to Renaissance College to speak to the Year 6s about my Exhibition process.

As a former student of Renaissance College, and having done the Y6 PYP Exhibition at the school, it was a heartfelt moment for him to be able to revisit and see familiar but also new faces.

At the time of the presentation, every single student was engaged and eager to hear his experience with the Exhibition. Whilst presenting, he explained the importance of using strengths in the Exhibition process. Mr Jackson went over various research methods and which ones to use, as well as some of the key skills they will need for the exhibition. He also shared with them how he's used the skills from the Exhibition up until this day and why they are important.

When Mr Jackson presents to the Y6s, it not only gives them a better insight into the Exhibition process but also allows them to hear from a former student's perspective and someone who has been through the process themselves. He always ask himself this one question.

What would I have wanted to know when I was in Year 6?

Of course, there were no students sharing their Exhibition experience with Mr Jackson when he was in Year 6, so maybe he can be that one he didn't have.
